Temper Tantrums

Children often have temper tantrums when they are frustrated, want attention, or to get their own way. They tend to get more tantrums when they are tired, hungry or sick. My sons have their tantrums, too and when they do i usually go to my room and let time cool down my temper, too.

As a single parent, i learned that when my sons have tantrums i should stay calm. Getting angry doesn't help but prolong their tantrums instead. I dont like them to know that i have lost my control so i go to my room. After awhile i talk to them and try to know what tiggered the tantrums. It is indeed hard to be a parent. But, i know that i should not let tantrums change my behavior as a parent. I don't like them to learn that a tantrum is a way to get their own way.

yes, that should be corrected as early as possible. let them know that they are responsible for their own actions.
