THE AETAS

At the Subic Bay area, I went to the Zoobic Safari during my recent visit with my delegates. Subic Bay Metropolitan Area is now an industrialized city. Before it was developed, the Aetas or Aytas were existent in this place. Agta or Ayta are an indigenous people who live in scattered, isolated mountainous parts of Luzon, Philippines. With industrialization, some of them who were before resisting development in the place are now thankful to the government as the children can go to schools with access roads and they are not anymore wearing their ethnic clothes unless when they perform to the public their cultural dance like the one in the you tube video. My video could not be uploaded thru blogger.

PACCQIAO WON OVER COTTO

My favorite boxing idol Manny Pacquiao beat his opponent again in a boxing bout with Miguel Cotto.  I was happy to watch the replay of the boxing bout. The filipinos are again victorious at this feat of Pacquiao. There was a betting in my brother's area and he won because he posted his bet for Pacquiao.  I can't imagine a filipino posting a bet for Cotto, but my brother says there is and he is glad because he won over friends who posted bet for Cotto.

DELAYED TRIP BACK HOME

I was already apprehensive that a typhoon might get my group stranded somewhere in the luzon area and it happened. Our flight in going home was delayed after the airline company cancelled the flight. There was nothing we can do but enjoy and relax in the cozy hotel provided free by the airline company including the food and transport to and fro the airport. Overall, the weeklong trip was so enjoying.
