I used to hear then that there is a decline in a man's eyesight as he reaches 40. I had proven it to be true when I reached 40. In fact, I experienced a decline in my eyesight as I was just midway from 39 to 40. The first thing that I noticed was I could not read a book at my normal range. I had to hold the book from afar in order to read its text. So, I have concluded that I should protect my eyes because losing eyesight would be tantamount to losing sight of beautiful things in life. Now, when I go out in a broad daylight I wear sunglasses to protect my eyes from the harmful effects of the ultraviolet rays of the sun. I am also taking eye supplements as prescribed by a friend optometrist. And, I try to include in my diet always vegetables that are good or excellent nutrition for the eyes such as squash, carrots, celeries, tomatoes, green peas, and other rich of vitamin C vegetables and fruits.
In wearing sunglasses, it is not just enough that I buy any sunglasses available in any stores. Aside from being trendy, I saw to it that the sunglasses have 100% UV protection. This way I am ensured that my eyes are safely protected.
